Two state archives--one with deep experience in crowdsourcing and the other without-- share successes and lessons realized from projects designed to advance large transcription projects while engaging the public with the history of World War I during the centennial. Topics include volunteer recruitment and training, coordination of online projects, and management of the resulting data. Presenters with diverse roles include a digitization manager, an agency director, and a software developer.
