Jessica Rogers-Cerrato is an archivist-in-training and instant photographer who writes poetry, prose, and essays. For nine years, she taught writing and literature at two CUNY Community Colleges, Bronx and Queensborough. She now studies archives and archival theory at Simmons University in Boston, MA. Critical work focuses on Diasporic Archives and the author Jean Rhys (SAA Conference, 2019), the outrider tradition of poetry, mapping the No Wave scene of the 1970s/80s, and archiving experimental writing and performance in the digital age (ACLA Conference, 2018). Current creative projects include a performance piece entitled The ball, and a chapbook of poetic plays. Works can be read many places, including OlioNote V.2 (Think Olio & Penguin Press), Summer Stock #8 (Livestock Editions), The Brooklyn Rail, Brooklyn Paramount, and the chapbook Hot Water (Cy Gist Press, 2011), among others.
