Susan Smythe Kung, PhD, is the project manager of the Archive of the Indigenous Languages of Latin America at the University of Texas at Austin. Kung is a documentary field linguist who has extensively researched and documented Huehuetla Tepehua, an endangered, indigenous language spoken in Huehuetla, Hidalgo, Mexico. Most of the language data that she collected during her fieldwork can be heard or viewed on the AILLA website (www.ailla.utexas.org) under the language name Tepehua, Huehuetla. Kung is one of the creators/authors of the open educational resource (OER) "Archiving for the Future: Simple Steps for Archiving Language Documentation Collections" available at https://archivingforthefuture.teachable.com/.
